Welcome to GFYBooks (operated by Genufy TechWorks). By accessing or using our platform at gfybooks.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

1. Definitions

  • "Service" refers to the GFYBooks web application, APIs, and all related services.
  • "User", "You" refers to the individual or entity using the Service.
  • "We", "Us", "Company" refers to Genufy TechWorks.
  • "Business Admin" refers to the primary account holder who manages a business on GFYBooks.
  • "Team Member" refers to users invited by a Business Admin.

2. Account Registration

  • You must provide accurate, complete, and current information during registration.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
  • You must be at least 18 years of age or have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.
  • One person or entity may not maintain multiple free accounts.
  • You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or to violate any applicable laws or regulations.
  • Upload, transmit, or store any content that is harmful, fraudulent, deceptive, or infringing.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service or its related systems.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service.
  • Use the Service to send unsolicited communications (spam).
  • Create invoices or financial documents for fraudulent or illegal purposes.

4. Subscription Plans & Payments

  • The Service offers free and paid subscription plans with varying feature limits.
  • Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis via our payment processor (Razorpay).
  • All fees are exclusive of applicable taxes (including GST) unless stated otherwise.
  • You may upgrade, downgrade, or cancel your plan at any time. Changes take effect at the next billing cycle.
  • Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. Contact support@gfybooks.com for refund requests.
  • We reserve the right to modify pricing with 30 days prior notice.

5. Data Ownership & Licence

  • Your Data: You retain full ownership of all data you upload, create, or manage through the Service (invoices, contacts, templates, etc.).
  • Licence to Us: You grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to host, process, and display your data solely for the purpose of providing the Service.
  • Our Intellectual Property: The Service, including its design, code, logos, and documentation, is owned by Genufy TechWorks and protected by intellectual property laws.
  • You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Service without our written consent.

6. Invoice Templates & PDF Generation

  • Templates provided by GFYBooks are for general business use. You are responsible for ensuring your invoices comply with applicable tax and accounting regulations.
  • GFYBooks is not a tax advisor. The CGST/SGST calculations are provided as a convenience and should be verified by a qualified professional.
  • Generated PDFs and shared invoice links are your responsibility. We are not liable for incorrect amounts, tax calculations, or missing information.

7. WhatsApp & Email Notifications

  • The Service integrates with WhatsApp Business API and email (Amazon SES) for sending invoice notifications.
  • You are responsible for obtaining consent from recipients before sending notifications.
  • WhatsApp message delivery is subject to Meta's policies and rate limits. We do not guarantee delivery.
  • Email delivery depends on your configured email settings. We are not responsible for emails blocked by spam filters.

8. Service Availability & Disclaimer

  • The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind.
  • We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or secure access to the Service.
  • We may perform scheduled maintenance with reasonable prior notice.
  • We are not liable for any loss of data, revenue, or business arising from use of the Service.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Genufy TechWorks and its directors, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or business opportunities, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

  • You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us at support@gfybooks.com.
  • We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or fail to pay outstanding fees.
  • Upon termination, your data will be retained for 30 days, after which it may be permanently deleted.
  • You may request a data export before termination.

11. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Salem, Tamil Nadu, India.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or an in-app notice at least 15 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
